My wife and I ate at Swifty's during a camping trip in the area. We were pleasantly surprised with the prompt service and great food. I highly recommend and will revisit next time when we're in town!
I adore this place and it's usually my first choice when planning an after work get together with coworkers. They've got a nice beer selection and the menu is big, but not overwhelming. I usually get a sandwich, which are always tasty here. I highly recommend the Irish nachos... it's like your standard warm nachos dish, but served with fresh, fried potatoes instead of chips. All food is very generously portioned. Staff is friendly and attentive. I've always had great meals here and good service. I enjoy the outside seating when the weather permits.
Thank goodness Swift's had an open door and an open kitchen. Two for one appetizers nine to close has me happy as a leprechaun. I knew there was fun to be had in downtown Utica and I found it.
I wanted to love it, but it was just OK. The staff was great, very attentive. The food was good, but lacked a little. Got my entree about two minutes after the dinner salad, so I felt a little rushed. Didn't want cold prime rib. Had two different sound systems going at once, so it was a little loud and unfocused. The veg and potatoes had very obviously sitting in chaffing dishes for a while.
Had the fish and chips (fries not the hand made chips which others had that were good as well). Two big pieces of fish and a perfect portion of fries. Great beer there too!
