I have had many bad experiences at this office from the receptionist, dental hygienist and Dr. Belen. I gave this office many chances as I know that one experience shouldn't reflect on the whole practice.
3. At one of my many follow up appointment for the poor filling, the dental hygienist who clearly did not read my chart was trying to tell me what they were going to do. I interrupted her to tell her that was already done, and she rudely said "let me finish talking" and put her hand up. Please remember this is my 5th appointment with unresolved pain. I let her finish telling me things that they already have tried. When she let me talk, the patient, I inform her the dental procedures she explained have already been tried. She had nothing to say after that.
The facilities are clean, the waiting area is very relaxing and to top it all, they're all friendly there.

I used to have dental anxiety and dreaded to come to dentist if I don't have to. Thank God, people here are very patient, helpful and very accommodating from start to finish. Dr. Belen is very thorough but so down to earth and I like it.
Between all of my procedures, i paid them over $1000 after insurance. It's incredibly frustrating to be treated this way. The issue with the crown and filling are not as much of a big deal as I know that things can be unpredictable. However the extremely poor customer service is not acceptable.
I never felt the kind of trust I have with them with my previous dentist. For that, I know I am in good hands because they treated me here as family since day one.
4. My crown - when I had the root canal a crown was placed on my tooth. I was left with a harsh seam or groove between where my tooth and crown meet, food often gets caught in the groove. Overall I feel that Dr. Belen rushed the procedure.
5. When I finished my appointments I would stop at the reception to pay my bill. One woman in particular was incredibly rude. She would not make eye contact. Several times I would be standing there waiting for a response and would have to say "am I all set?" because she just refused to say hello or good bye.
It was a great experience for me and my husband as a whole. We've been a patient here for the past years and I would say that Dr. Belen is still one of the best dentists in the area. Staff are very polite and very patient with us as well explaining the treatment and financial concerns we have. Can't wait to go back and do the procedure next month! :)

I really love Belen Dental. They are nice and professional and very helpful. Typically my appointments go fast and they are right on time. I also think that they strive to be more than a dental office but actually help out the Utica community with their "free dental procedure" days and other events and specials that they run. They recognize that dental health is expensive and try their best to accommodate people. I always leave with a sparkly smile :)
1. I had a scheduled appointment for months. I received emails confirming my appointment and even received an email one hour prior to my appointment. When I arrived to the office the receptionist was very rude and informed me my appointment was cancelled. She stated my phone number was not enter correctly so they had no way of contacting me. I asked about the 4 emails I received confirming my appointment. She states they have no control of them. To me this was not an acceptable answer.
2. I had pain following my root canal due to the crown being too high and also had a difficult filling between teeth. I went back at least 5 times. The crown was corrected. For the filling, ointment was put on the tooth to numb it rather than correct the problem.
I know I have lot of dental works to do but they explained all my options without being pressured. For that, THANK YOU!
