The food here is always amazing! You can tell that all the ingredients are super fresh.

Great food and amazing service. I vist this location quite a bit and when one day I was given a unusually small bag of fires instead of a large they not only fixed the problem but they also gave me a $5 gift card for the wait. The Staff make all the difference their.

Always seem to throw French fries out. That's alright with me. Having more than you want is always good.

I am cooling my heels in the dining room of a Five Guys Burger and Fries north of the tollway and the interstate and the heart of Utica, New York. I've never been in a Five Guys before although the nationwide chain might be hard to miss now. I have to admit I like the place. Five Guys serves fresh cut fries. Fresh cut fry wagons along the north shore of Lake Erie made me wonder why Canadians flocked to these portable kitchens. I saw the wagons at all the beaches in the port towns between Windsor and Fort Erie, either surrounded by customers or showing a sold out sign. Next day, with delivery of a few sacks of Canadian spuds, the shack was back in business. I think two factors brought the Canadians to the window in throngs. Fresh cut fries are perfect for drenching with Canadian vinegar, clear apple cider vinegar more acidic than we are allowed to buy in the states. Second, Low costfresh cut fries can be served up in massive heaps, long and thick fries with the skins still on that satisfy so much more than what McDonald's or Burger King offers. I ordered up a small order of fresh cut fries at Five Guys and my order filled half a lunch bag. The bag bears the stains of the peanut oil used to deep fry the fries. I've nibbled on them for about a half hour and I'm still not done. Plus, I've poured malt vinegar all over the long fries, Heinz vinegar straight from the bottle. If I were in charge, I would limit the likes of me to packets of vinegar. But no, I can shake vinegar onto my fries to my heart's content. Sadly, the malt vinegar has a tingling touch on my lips, but not the thrilling tingle of the more potent vinegar from Ontario. Today's fries came from potatoes shipped in fresh from Crapo Farms, St. Anthony, Idaho. A sign posted in the dining room lets all who care to know, know. I would prefer to be on the north shore of Lake Erie enjoying their fries, but the Five Guys fries capture the spirit.

I love that I can get my burger with whatever toppings I want & without the bun!
