The No.1 Chinese restaurant is not the best, more like 1 star. I ordered the lunch special which arrived late a little after lunch time. While taking a bite of my soup I pulled out a long blonde or gray hair out of mouth.. nasty
The OG spot for Chinese in Utica. Been coming here for about 15 years. Ignore the naysayers, that's just typical people in this city who love to hate and start drama. I've noticed that every takeout Chinese place around here has unspokenly made a name for themselves by way of a particular dish they do very well, and it would seem that no single restaurant is better than another at all things. If you want something like General Tso's Chicken you're better off going to Beijing house for that, but most of their dishes are pretty solid, and no place in CNY has Crab Rangoon or dumplings half as good as Number 1. It might not be the best place around, but it's an old standby and always a safe bet in a pinch when craving some chinese late at night. Plus they were always open till midnight during my college years, that's why they Number 1.
I'm not hater on anything but I just say this I had called to place a order for delivery and the guy was very rude. And had no patience will never order food here. I hung up and said never mind. If your rude taken order. You have no pation for making food witch means it won't taste good also respect your customer even when they are being polite to you.
